...for a change?

So it's not too difficult to see the drastic change that the B.E.P has made and it's obvious to see that this change has made them that much more successful. However I don't like the new B.E.P. I just feel as though its more about making club hits when it comes to them instead of focusing on making a classic album. I am aware that all the musicians lately are taking a step towards the dance scene but perhaps this is a step to far?

...for an Icon.

Everything we hear on the radio these days has either been sampled or inspired by the past generation just as all form of RnB has been inspired or sampled from a Jazz classic.

Miles Davis was an American trumpeter, bandleader, and composer.

Widely considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, Miles Davis was, with his musical groups, at the forefront of several major developments in jazz music, including bebop, cool jazz, hard bop, modal jazz, and jazz fusion. Many well-known musicians rose to prominence as members of Davis' ensembles, including saxophonists Gerry Mulligan, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, George Coleman, Wayne Shorter, Dave Liebman, Branford Marsalis and Kenny Garrett; trombonist J. J. Johnson; pianists Horace Silver, Red Garland, Wynton Kelly, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, Chick Corea, and Keith Jarrett; guitarists John McLaughlin, Pete Cosey, John Scofield and Mike Stern; bassists Paul Chambers, Ron Carter, Dave Holland, Marcus Miller and Darryl Jones ; and drummers Philly Joe Jones, Jimmy Cobb, Tony Williams, Billy Cobham, Jack DeJohnette, and Al Foster.

On October 7, 2008, his album Kind of Blue, released in 1959, received its fourth platinum certification from the RIAA, signifying sales of 4 million copies. Miles Davis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Davis was noted as "one of the key figures in the history of jazz".

On November 5, 2009, Rep. John Conyers of Michigan sponsored a measure in the US House of Representatives to recognize and commemorate the album Kind of Blue on its 50th anniversary. The measure also affirms jazz as a national treasure and "encourages the United States government to preserve and advance the art form of jazz music." It passed, unanimously, with a vote of 409–0 on December 15, 2009.

...for a Come Back?

IIIIIM BAAACK DREAMERS! :) I have finally found some time to sit down and blog, and will try to get back to my routine. I have missed forcing my view of life on you guys!:) LOL I'm playing but for real but you have been missed dearly!

...for a new voice!

This is a young voice I heard on youtube :)! Her name is Rebecca Miller and she is an teenager aspiring to be a singer. I like how easy her voice is on the ears and her song choices are also right up my lane! check her out at: http://www.youtube.com/BeckaaaOx

...for a First!

As soon as I came across this cold winter look I instantly fell in love with the nudeness and innocence of the look. So I decided to re-create this look for the males. However I decided to add that warm feel to the recreation with the sand coloured shorts. But the overall outfit continues that simple look. I normally don't condone Doctor Martins but I have made an exception for this outfit as it completes the outfit. :)

...For a Fashion Fix!

One of my followers on twitter asked me to find where she could find this leather ruffeled jacket worn by Rachel Wilson, and that I did my dear :). The jacket was bought from a store called All Saints. Now lets show you how to recreate the look.

The outfit was going well untill Rachel chose to pair this gorgeous jacket and bag with that pale and washed out dress. The dress should've been more floral more girly and probably alot more colourful. That is why I chose a pastal coloured floral dress with a flair. This bounces so well off of the rocker jacket. Then the shoes, well the fringing and leather is what makes these shoes so incredible. Together this is a "out the box" type outfit and works well for all shapes so try it!

[And all this only estimates to $539]!

...for some Crime!

Banksy is a Brittish graffiti, political activist and painter whose identity is unconfirmed.Banksy's work was born out of the Bristol underground scene which involved collaborations between artists and musicians. According to author and graphic designer Tristan Manco, Banksy "was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol, England. The son of a photocopier technician, he trained as a butcher but became involved in graffiti during the great Bristol aerosol boom of the late 1980s. Observers have noted that his style is similar to Blek le Rat, who began to work with stencils in 1981 in Paris and members of the anarcho-punk band Crass who maintained a graffiti stencil campaign on the London Tube System in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

[check him out because he is an important character]

...to have a Pink Friday!

Nicki Minaj has recently dropped her debut album. The main worry for Miss Minaj was could she live up to her hype? The verdict- I believe she did. She brought alot of versatility and provided us with the classic romantics such as "Your Love" and "Right Thru Me" but she also had the upbeat tracks such as "Check It Out" and "Massive Attack". Personally I liked the sincerity that the album had, it wasn't the typical female rap star trying to rap like a male rapper. It was more of a revelation of Nicki the lady rather than Nicki the artist. What was a suprise to me was the fact that she left behind the characters for most of the album. "Dear Old Nicki" reveals Nicki's self growth and her opinions of herself, this is by far the deepest song on the album. However my personal favourite's were Fly and Romans Revenge. The only thing weak on this album is Nickis art work. But hey noone is perfect! Love it!

...for recognition!

Bye Bye Riri, GoodDay Ms Rose- there is a new fashion icon in town. Ladies make room for VV Brown. She is a young british artist and not only is her music worthy of our attention but so is her quirky dress sense! Check her out.

...to be comical!

Guess who is working on getting her own online comic book? :) I aaaaaaaam! Yes that's right.Soon enough I will have my own comic called BlossomBrightDreams. In the comic I will be saving the people of the town EMA from bad music using my super powers - Punch Lines and Throwing flowers at the wack artists till so they get hay fever and can't spit their lines! :)

LOL yes I am a little wacky but art is art!

...to walk the walk!

There is not much to be said about these heels except WOW! They are perfect for a day in the cold weather and a night out when paired with a simple dress. Get yourself a pair!

...for a New Artist.

Earlier in the year I was at a coffee shop with one of my girlfriends I ran into a new 22year old artist called Jessie J. We spoke to her briefly and she left us her demo. Now this wasn't the first time I had been given a demo in a coffee shop (as we all know thats the home away from a studio for real artists) so I was reluctant to check it out. But when I read her credintials on the back of her demo and seeing her artistic cover I thought listening to it wouldn't hurt.
[The back of the demo said that she had already written for Christina Aguliera,Chris Brown, Miley Cyrus,Alicia Keys, to name a few.]
So when I played it I instantly fell in love. Her voice is so pure and innocent while her lyrics are so reaching. She reminds me of Lilly Allen+Gaga+Minaj. She is very very differnt and will soon take the industry by storm so beware!

...for a wrong doing!

"OH NANA HIDE YOUR FACE!"

Normally I am all for Riri's dress sense but uuh I can't cosign this mess. There are too many prints going on and being clashed with too many colours. I know she's trying the whole Solange Knowles retro look but sorry to break the news - it is not working out.

However...you all know I dont post something negative without posting something positive.

Look how beautiful this unofficial promo for "What's My Name" looks.. she looks stunning.

...to share my playlist!

There are alot of artists that stick out to me. However Laze&Royal are a band I have been following since 2006 and have continuously continued to surprise me. The band consists of twin brothers named Bennett(Laze) and Justin Armstrong (signed to Warner Bro). Their lyrical flow mixed with their playful metaphors produce the perfect mixture for a night out or even a day in. The boys have already worked with names such as Christina Milian, Keri Hilson and Neyo. My personal favourite would have to be their romantic track called "Marylin Monroe" featuring another great undiscovered talent to watch, Tyler Sheritt.

-Look out for these boys.

...to Party!

Everybody knows when winter comes around it means one thing. Sophisticated dinners, late nights and dresses! The problem women often have during this season is dressing for their body types. We have ALL seen those girls that come to a "sophisticated" dinner wearing a dress that puts you off the main course. Guess what? H&M agrees with us and has put out a new range of dresses made for different figures :)

The Brown Animal Print Dress - Made for Girls with flatter chests and a bigger tush.

The Black Satin Dress - Made for the hour glass figures.

The Blue Bow Dress - Made for the bigger curvy girls.

...to GIVE IT UP!

SO last month Jayz used Mc Hammer's name in a freestyle on Kanye West's track "So Appalled" and Mc Hammer was NOT feeling the love.

In the song Jayz said - "Hammer went broke so you know I'm more focused / I lost 30 mil' so I spent another 30 / 'Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can't hurt me."

And Mc [Pastor] Hammer took to his twitter account tweeting - "The answer to Jay comes on Oct 31. I saw him coming." The former rapper later Tweeted: "You wanted my attention #HellBoy (Jigga), you got it. Let me mess you up."

And as promised Hammer released a Jayz Diss song- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFtQML2O5B0&feature=youtu.be

[ OKAY guys here is my take on this whole mess , firstly all that Jay said was correct, he was stating facts not opinions. Also, if MC Hammer really considered himself "King" Hammer then he wouldn't even respond to Jay would he? NO. I already know this low budget song/video is Hammers way of attempting a come back but he should really just stop. No way No How will Jay respond to this childishness because he is above it... congrats Mc Hammer you have just played yourself!

...to Get nasty!

I found these lovely pair of suede heels on Shop Nasty Girl :)! they look hot and would be a perfect wear for SPRING! Buy them now - wear them later!

...to get scary!

Haloween is around the corner guyssss! Now I am normally not one to get all hyped over holidays but for some reason I love this one! Probably has something to do with the costumes and candy but I feel like for some reason this is the ONE NIGHT were everyone can let their expressive side out without being shy. (: SO what are you Haloween costume ideas?

I have got a few little ideas myself: Little Dead Riding Hood or Pochantus or The Ghost Of Nicki Minaj <3

...for the Movie of the month!

Okay so I know it's abit early consediring that it is barely mid-month but this is definatley the MUST SEE movie of October! Takers has it all; action, suspense and romance.

The Plot:The film follows a group of professional bank robbers (Michael Ealy, Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker, Idris Elba) who specialize in spectacular robberies, as they are pulled into one last job by a recently paroled cohort (T.I who used to be a member until he was arrested) only to be pitted against a hard-boiled detective (Matt Dillon) and his partner (Jay Hernandez) who interrupt their heist.
Two detectives, Jack Welles (Matt Dillon) and Eddie Hatcher (Jay Hernandez), investigate a daring heist by a group of well-organized bank robbers. The crew, led by Gordon Cozier (Idris Elba), consists of John (Paul Walker), A.J. (Hayden Christensen), and brothers Jake (Michael Ealy) and Jesse (Chris Brown) Attica. The crew is without a former member, Ghost (T.I.) who was caught during a previous robbery 5 years prior. In his absence, Jake has begun a relationship with his former girlfriend Rachel (Zoe Saldana), who has accepted his proposal.

Ghost surprises the crew after getting paroled. He insists he harbors no ill feelings toward the crew for abandoning him and draws them into a heist of an armored car for a $30 million dollar payoff. Meanwhile, Welles begins to zero in on some of the members of the crew and comes up with evidence that a second heist is in the making....that is all I can say because I dont want to ruin it for you! But if you want to know anything else just hit me up with a comment :)
